The College of Education for Pure Sciences hosted a visit by the Central Committee for Chemical, Biological, and Radiological (CBR) Safety and Security. The visit aimed to inspect the status of the scientific laboratories across the College’s departments, including the laboratories of the Department of Chemistry, the Department of Biology, and the Department of Physics.
This inspection was conducted to evaluate the laboratory work environment and ensure the rigorous implementation of the adopted safety and security standards. Furthermore, it served to prepare the laboratories for the forthcoming visit by the Ministerial Team. The Committee undertook a comprehensive tour of inspection, during which they reviewed the scientific equipment, the methods used for storing chemical and biological materials, and the available protection and safety systems.
The Committee emphasized the vital importance of adhering to international safety standards and updating relevant procedures to guarantee a secure educational and research environment for both students and faculty members. The Committee also commended the efforts exerted by the scientific departments in developing the laboratories and enhancing their efficiency.
