Tasks of the Legal Division:
The Legal Division is responsible for following up on the legal matters of the college in various fields, including organizing student sponsorships for both graduate and undergraduate studies, as well as organizing sponsorships for our college employees. The role of the legal member is highlighted in his capacity as a member of the bonus and promotion committees for professors and employees of the college, as well as investigative committees and providing legal advice. - Duties of the Legal Affairs Division
1- Contributing to investigative committees and legal work related to the relationship between the college and its members.
2- Expressing legal opinions and advice and answering legal consultation inquiries.
3-Drafting, organizing and ratifying contracts, pledges and guarantees related to the work of the college.
4- Ratification of educational guarantees and pledges inside and outside Iraq.
5- Providing legal consultations to college departments.
6- Coordination with the administrative matters of the Legal Division.
7- Archiving all minutes of investigative committees and student disciplinary committees.
8- Approving contracts concluded by the college, pledges, faculty loans, and employee advances, and opening a special register for that.
9- Review the state departments to complete the college’s work from a legal standpoint if they request it.
10- Attending meetings of officials of the legal divisions of the university presidency.
11- Opening a special register for contracts and their effect in all aspects (names of the two parties, contract duration, contract amount, obligations of the two parties) and authenticating it.
12- Work on establishing a mini legal library that contains a set of applicable laws and some books that explain some of the laws related to work within the college, including:
A- The Law of Discipline of State and Public Sector Employees. B- Civil Service Law. C- Ministry of Higher Education Law. A- Implementation Law. E- Government debt collection law and other books such as (the legal employee’s appointment).
