Duties of the Vice Dean for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies

The Vice Dean for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies is responsible for organizing academic and scientific affairs within the college, and managing undergraduate and postgraduate student affairs. This ensures the efficiency and effectiveness of the educational and research processes. The Vice Dean oversees several specialized administrative units that work integrally to achieve the college's strategic goals.

  • Postgraduate Studies Unit

    Responsible for receiving application files for Master's and Doctoral programs across all departments, and following up on admission procedures until the final university order for degree granting is issued.

  • Scientific Affairs Unit

    Concerned with monitoring the scientific activities of the teaching staff, issuing orders for the formation of scientific and examination committees, managing scholarships and cultural relations, and organizing scientific conferences within the college.

  • Planning and Studies Unit

    Focuses on preparing analytical studies, developing academic strategic plans, and monitoring performance indicators to ensure college goals are met, as well as providing the University and Ministry with monthly and annual statistics and reports.

  • Electronic Calculator and Internet Unit

    Manages and periodically updates the college's official website, provides technical support for institutional emails for staff and students, and ensures the continuity of electronic services throughout the college.

  • Library Unit

    Provides print and electronic information sources for students and researchers, supports digital reading services, and organizes cultural events and knowledge-based activities related to books.

  • Continuing Education Unit

    Organizes specialized training courses and workshops for faculty, staff, and students, aiming to develop their skills and keep them updated with the latest scientific developments.

  • Registration and Student Affairs Unit

    Manages the student registration process from the announcement of central admission results until the issuance of graduation certificates, while tracking academic progress and addressing administrative obstacles.
