Assistant Professor Dr. Sukaina Ali Karim, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs at the College of Basic Education, participated as a member of the doctoral dissertation defense committee held at the College of Law and Political Science, University of Kirkuk, on Wednesday, 18 February 2026. The dissertation was submitted by the candidate, Banar Nabil Haqi, and was entitled: “The Constitutional Regulation of Economic Justice in the Federal State: Iraq as a Model.”
The defense was conducted in a rigorous academic atmosphere characterized by constructive scholarly dialogue and in-depth discussions that enriched the subject of the dissertation and underscored its significance in light of the constitutional and economic transformations taking place in Iraq.
The dissertation addressed the problematics of the constitutional regulation of the concept of economic justice within the framework of a federal state, focusing on the Iraqi experience. It analyzed the relevant constitutional provisions and examined the extent to which these texts are reflected in the economic and social realities.
