
Under the patronage of the President of University of Kirkuk, Professor Dr. Imran Jamal Hassan, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Basic Education, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Hussein Ali, the Continuing Education Unit organized a scientific seminar entitled “National Security Begins at School,” delivered by Lecturer Bilal Qais Kamal.
The seminar aimed to highlight the pivotal role of educational institutions in consolidating the principles of national security by building students’ personalities on the foundations of responsible citizenship, strengthening moral values and national identity, and promoting a culture of awareness and accountability.
It further emphasized the importance of the school environment in intellectually and behaviorally safeguarding students, as well as the significant role of teaching and administrative staff in addressing intellectual and social challenges that may affect societal security and stability. The session concluded with constructive academic discussions affirming that schools represent the fundamental cornerstone in building a conscious and responsible society, and that strengthening national security begins with instilling sound principles in future generations.
