College of Basic Education – University of Kirkuk 
Under the patronage of the esteemed President of Kirkuk University, Professor Dr. Imran Jamal Hassan, and under the supervision of the esteemed Dean of the College of Basic Education, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Hussein Ali, the Continuing Education Division at the College of Basic Education organized an awareness and educational campaign titled:
"Combating Cyber Extortion and Protecting Students from Threats on Campus"
On Monday, December 15, 2025, as part of an awareness field tour that included the college corridors and several scientific departments.
The campaign was carried out by (A. M. M. Dr. Sakina Ali Karim) (Mr. Mr. Bilal Qais Kamal) and the (Security Follow-up Department) where the concept of cyber extortion, its various forms, and its legal, psychological, and social risks were highlighted, emphasizing that it is a crime punishable by law, and outlining the means to prevent it and the correct ways to deal with cases of threat or extortion.
The campaign also included directing students on the importance of not responding to blackmailers, the necessity of preserving digital evidence, and reporting these cases thru official channels within the university, while emphasizing the confidentiality of procedures and the protection of whistleblowers, in line with the university presidency and college dean's commitment to providing a safe educational environment based on legal awareness and social responsibility.
