Parasitology Department

 

The basic and important mission of the Parasitology development is to teach parasitology 
 which include veterinary helminths, veterinary and medicinal insects, veterinary protozoa and clinical parasites, which is considered one of the basic sciences and which is taught in medical and science colleges.

Branch Objectives:
1- Giving students basic concepts of pathogens from parasites. This branch teaches parasitology to third-stage students and explains all types of parasites that infect animals, how their life cycle, and methods of diagnosing and treating them.

2 - Expanding and developing students' perceptions of how diseases caused by parasites occur, as well as their life cycles, infectious stages, and how they are transmitted to infect humans.

Branch Message:

Preparing human cadres in parasite sciences with multiple branches and arming them with knowledge and basic and applied skills that are eligible to compete in the labor market and raise the level of scientific research in order to meet the needs of society and contribute to the development of the environment and livestock. Hence, he is committed to providing high-quality education for undergraduate students to acquire the skill related to parasites in their various branches with a commitment to providing students with the skills and knowledge needs related to modern sciences such as molecular biology.
