Vision, mission and goals

Since the establishment of the College of Pharmacy at the University of Kirkuk, the college has developed a plan for it based on its goals, vision, and mission. There is a continuous and continuing effort by the deanship and the university to develop the college at all levels and advance the college to the ranks of colleges of pharmacy in Iraqi and international universities and obtain accreditation through the application of standards for ensuring the quality.

College vision:

The future vision of the college, in addition to its main duties in preparing competent pharmaceutical cadres; The college seeks to form accredited general scientific branches in colleges of pharmacy and increase the number of teachers with pharmaceutical specializations through admission to postgraduate studies inside and outside Iraq, and strive to introduce postgraduate studies within the college and invest in the pharmaceutical laboratory in the future, and establish a unit for examining and evaluating pharmaceutical and nutritional materials and openness to the community to provide the best Services and equipping the college’s laboratories with modern equipment from various sources, taking into account quality and consistency, is an approach in this continuous and sincere effort by the dean, assistants, branch heads, teaching staff, divisional officials, administrative and scientific units, and college employees.

College mission:

The college’s mission is to develop scientific, moral, and humanitarian human educational resources through developing curricula and teaching methods and keeping pace with scientific and technological development within a framework of independence, academic freedom, and management of human relations, as well as contributing to raising the scientific and academic level of the college to bring it to the ranks of advanced colleges in accordance with international scientific quality standards. And the race for the third millennium to ensure its role in preparing advanced academic, professional and technical outcomes, disseminating and developing knowledge through qualitative scientific research in a way that contributes to the comprehensive human and material development of society, and facing the challenges of the future.

College goals:

1- Graduating qualified pharmacists with a high and professional level.

2- Developing and strengthening the pharmaceutical cadres in the governorate by involving them in training courses and providing them with academic experiences.

3- Creating an environment to consolidate the profession, integration, as well as establish the highest level of professional creativity for students

4- Working to develop pharmaceutical laboratories to serve the health situation in Iraq.

5- Cooperating with government agencies and the private sector to provide advisory services and qualitative control tests for the drug.

6- Opening postgraduate studies at the college in the future.

7- Containing students from the governorate’s population who wish to study this specialty, which will lead to the prosperity of the governorate and its surrounding areas in terms of medical aspects in general and pharmacy in particular and the building of an integrated medical staff with high efficiency.
