About the division:
The Division of Continuing Education in the College of Engineering is considered one of the vital divisions at the University of Kirkuk, which meets the needs of engineering, technical, and service personnel in the departments of Kirkuk Governorate in general and the University of Kirkuk in particular, and through the establishment of engineering and training courses that develop their performance in accordance with modern scientific and technological progress. It contributes to studying the skills needs required to ensure quality performance in the scientific and practical field for engineers and technicians by meeting the needs of cadres for specialized and technical courses that support the wheel of development. The Continuing Education Division works in cooperation with all state departments and the private sector to know the skills needs of the work field, which helps in collecting data, identifying the causes of problems, finding engineering solutions in record time, and reducing the cost. The geographical location, demographics, and nature of the College of Engineering make it a focus of attention for government departments and the private sector because of the various engineering specializations it contains and scientific energy that can be invested in the field of developing human resources in the service, production, and craft sectors. In short, the Continuing Education Division supports engineers to be prepared to suit the level of modernity and development that the world is witnessing in various fields of life. Also, one of the university's core values is community service and its vision is to be active in society and its individuals. Accordingly, the University of Kirkuk and the College of Engineering, through the Division of Continuing Education, seek to reflect this image on the ground by providing training services to all members of society and focusing on developing engineering skills.
Instructions for participating in courses:
1- All relevant departments are requested to nominate their members in accordance with the controls announced in the course circulars early so that the Division can know the numbers of participants and prepare for the course before the start of an appropriate period of time, and we will give priority to the participants according to the receipt of nominations from the beneficiary entities.
2- Private sector staff can participate without a letter of nomination.
3- The instrument in the amount of the course participation fee is sent with the nomination letter.
4- The participant devotes himself full-time during the period of his enrollment in the course, and is considered to have failed the course in the event that his absences are 15%.
5- All participants must strictly adhere to the instructions and the dates of lectures and laboratory applications according to the announced schedule for each course.
6- The candidate must have the following to participate in the training courses:
A- There is a relationship between his job and the subject of the training course.
B- He must have the academic qualifications and experience required by the course.
C- To devote himself to the session throughout its duration.
Note: Specialized engineering courses can be held if there is a request from the departments, provided that the number of participants is not less than six.
