In implementation of the directives of the President of Kirkuk University, Professor Dr. Imran Jamal Hassan, who launched the “Plant” initiative.
Under the sponsorship of the Dean of the College of Education for Human Sciences, Professor Dr. Farhad Aziz Mohieddin, the College of Education for Human Sciences implemented its agricultural campaign entitled ((Plant for a Green University)).
Through which she carried out a number of volunteer works, including:
1- Planting a large number of citrus trees.
2- Planting a large group of rose trees.
3- Rehabilitating the college’s external gardens and paving them with colored stone.
4- Trimming and refining trees planted outside and inside the college.
5- Planting trees and flowers in the college’s internal garden.
6- Rehabilitation and maintenance of the college’s internal fountain.
7- Distribution of ornamental trees, shade trees, and anvils within the college and classrooms.
8- Holding guidance and awareness lectures for students about the environment and ways to preserve it by scientific department advisors and within the environmental education subject taught in the Psychology Department.
9- Distributing indoor plants to the administrative rooms to increase the aesthetics and soften the atmosphere there.
10- Removing dead trees and replacing them with new trees to sustain the green spaces at Kirkuk University.
It is worth noting that the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Farhad Aziz Mohieddin, provided all capabilities and methods of support to the teams working in the campaign, including agricultural and service cadres, department heads, and college professors and students.
The Dean also confirmed that our college is continuing and continuing afforestation campaigns in order to increase the green spaces at Kirkuk University.
