The College of Basic Education organizes a symposium entitled 'The Role of Social Media Sites in Personality Formation'

The College of Basic Education/Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit organized a symposium on the role of social networking sites in personality formation and their impact on social relationships. The lecture was presented by Dr. Walaa Hashem Muhammad, where the impact of social networking sites on the growth and development of an individual’s personality was reviewed, as well as its impact on social relationships and interactions between individuals in society. The discussions centered on how to use these platforms correctly and responsibly and how to deal with their challenges and risks in a way that contributes to self-development and the positive enhancement of social relationships.  A large number of students participated in the symposium, as they showed great interest in the topic at hand and the impact of social networking sites on their daily lives. The students asked many questions and made comments that addressed various aspects of the discussion. The students also expressed a willingness to apply the concepts and principles discussed in their daily lives and deal with social media more consciously and responsibly.
