Kirkuk University discusses the effect of adding different levels of anise seeds and oil on laying hens

A master’s thesis at the College of Agriculture discussed the effect of adding different levels of anise seeds and oil on some productive traits, blood biochemistry, and egg quality for laying hens, by student Ruaa Jamal Daoud, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Rashid Hassan Hamid Al-Dalawi.

The study aimed to determine the effect of adding different levels of anise seeds and oil on the productive performance, qualitative characteristics of eggs, and some blood characteristics in Lohman laying hens.

The study concluded that adding 2.5 g/kg and 0.25 ml/kg of seed powder and anise seed oil extract to the rations of brown-laying Lohman chickens led to a significant effect on most of the traits studied.
