Main goals of the branch:

Graduation of physicians able to:

1- Understand the basics of Gynecology & obstetric and application of these basics in clinical and practical fields.

2- Take history of diseases in regards to Gynecology & obstetric and how to treat them.

3- Put the basic steps in diagnosis and treatment.

4- Treat emergency cases associated with Gynecology & obstetric.

5- Realize the issues and laws in regards to medicine.

6- Realize the importance of ethics of Gynecology & obstetric.

It is considered one of the branches, which responsible for teaching and training of students at advance stages on clinical diagnosis of diseases and how to deal with the patients.  

Teaching Staff

Main goals of the branch:

1- The students should be able to take history of patients for chronic diseases and checking the different body systems such as (Cardiovascular System, respiratory system, digestive systems and nervous system)

2- The students should be able to search through medical journals about cases noticed during training time and discussion of these cases through scientific seminars.

3- Attendance at emergency department of teaching hospital to recognize the pathological cases there.

4- Watching different cases at the internal medicine wards, and endoscopy, ECO, Psychiatry, Orthopedic, and Dermatology sections as well.

5- Establishing concrete plans for treatment of patients and how to conduct examinations for the cases.

Teaching Pharmacology.

Teaching Staff

Main goals of the branch:

1- Getting knowledge about:

a- The basis of different medications and its effect on the treatment of the changes happened because of infections.

b- Their mechanism of action.

c- Body response to the treatment by different drugs.

d- The side effects of different medications used for treatment of different cases.

e- The medication reactions that could be happened when using more than one drug at the same time, with the possibility of getting unwanted reactions between the drugs and eaten foods.

2- When teaching Pharmacology it is important to put in consideration; the following of global scientific progress regarding Pharmacology and following the instructions and decisions of World Health Organizations(WHO), and other Pharmaceutical organizations regarding the latest updates of medications and taking advantage of them for study.

3- Giving good explanation about the latest updates regarding Pharmacology, new medications and the possibilities of happening unwanted responsiveness to these medications, to the students, resident doctors and higher studies students.         

4- Connection whatever is new about medication with treatment of clinical cases and following their reactions and possible side effects during treatment.
