College of Dentistry
The Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Kirkuk was established based on the book of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Department of Studies, Planning and Follow-up, Department of Studies and Planning, No. 3/3774, on 4/9/2014 as an independent building on the Corniche beside the Specialized Dental Center.
The college consists of three main buildings, a special building for the administration of the basic sciences branch, training laboratories for basic sciences, dental laboratories, and a building that includes the Deanship, the people, the administrative and scientific units and the clinical clinics, while the third building contains the classrooms equipped with the necessary equipment and equipment for teaching. The present is a branch of basic sciences and a branch of oral and dental surgery which includes people with dental and dental care as well as oral and dental surgery. In the near future, the College will develop branches of dental treatment, dentistry, dentistry, orthodontics, dentistry and gingivitis when specialized teaching staff are available.
The College is equipped with the first batch of 10-piece dental devices. In the next four months, the College will receive the second meal, which will be equipped with twenty dental instruments. The college labs are equipped with equipment, supplies and materials necessary for the education and training of students.
The school year 2014-2015 The college received 79 students as a first stage, while in the academic year 2016-2017 the number of students for the three stages 220.

The message
The preparation of dentists are able to meet the needs of the community in the areas of mouth and teeth and the use of modern methods in education and conduct scientific research and provide preventive services and treatment of society.
Objectives
The establishment of the Faculty of Dentistry in Kirkuk came as a result of the community's need for dental treatments and to make the graduates of dentistry at the Faculty of Dentistry of Kirkuk University have the ability to:
1 - Acquire the knowledge, knowledge, understanding and skills necessary to provide primary health care to the members of the community.
2 - Communicate with patients and their families to develop methods of oral and dental care.
3. Diagnosis, prevention and treatment of oral and dental diseases.
4. Maintain safety levels and levels of infection control.
5. Maintain professional standards satisfactorily by recognizing the importance of lifelong learning and seeking continuous professional learning.
6 - to identify the limits of knowledge and medical ability and practice in clinics and identify cases that need other specialties to treat them.
7 - Possess personal skills and the ability to use modern technology in the field of dentistry.
8. Follow-up studies and researches in the various fields of dentistry and improve the health of the society.
9 - Identify the different skills of the dental profession.
10. Contribute to the production of applied research and innovation-based research.
11. Acquire the necessary humanitarian principles for the practice of dentistry.
Future college plans
The College plans to develop dental treatment branches, dental industry, children, orthodontics, dentistry and gum diseases Certificates granted by the College Bachelor of Medicine, Oral and Dental Surgery Basic Sciences Branch.
The branch contributes to the establishment of specialized medical staff, specialized in scientific and vocational, and is fully qualified to carry out the duties of reference and treatment of oral and dental diseases, as well as the number of specialized scientific cadres through the opening of graduate studies in the future. The basic dental science branch is committed to achieving scientific and professional competence in teaching Basic dental science in accordance with the ethics of the profession, hoping to build a generation of dentists with excellent efficiency that can meet the needs of the community
Oral & Dental Surgery Branch
The branch of Oral and Dental Surgery was established according to the book of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Department of Studies, Planning and Follow-up, Department of Studies and Planning No. 3/3/497 on 25/9/2016. The Assistant Professor Dr. Fadel Yassin Jassim was assigned the duties of the Head of the Branch University Order No. 7/39/8262 on 18/8/2016.
Mission and objectives
Preparing students academically and practically in preliminary studies in the field of oral medicine and surgery and gum disease and raising the levels of knowledge and high scientific performance of graduates of the branch Treatment of cysts, tumors and salivary gland tumors in the area of the mouth, face and jaws. Orthodontics. Orthodontic surgery.
Contribute to the health community and to provide surgical and advisory services that help in the treatment of diseases.
Optimal use of techniques and modern developments in the field of oral and gum surgery.
Contribute to the establishment of units and centers of excellence in the medicine and surgery of mouth and face and jaws of global credibility Treatment of facial fractures resulting from accident injuries.
