Department of Soil Science and Water Resources

The Department of Soil Science and Water Resources was inaugurated in the academic year 2012-2013. The study is divided into two main sections: theoretical lessons and practical laboratory and field resources lessons in subjects related to the precise jurisdiction of soil and water as well as the basic principles of the rest of the agricultural specialties. Since its inception, the College administration has sought to provide scientific laboratories equipped with the latest laboratory equipment. The College currently has plant and soil laboratories. The College has organized scientific tours inside and outside the province to provide students with scientific observations that cannot be seen within the governorate.

 

Vision, mission and goals:

The Department aims to graduate agricultural cadres specialized in soil science and water resources, which include soil science and modern irrigation techniques, as well as interest in innovations in organic agriculture and agriculture without soil and water harvesting. The student deals with various agricultural topics under the main topics of the department as well as the study of principles The rest of the agricultural materials such as the principles of animal production, field crops, food industry, forestry, horticulture and others.
