 About the Faculty of Agriculture 

The College of Agriculture was established in 2005 and is a response to the needs of

The development of agriculture in Kirkuk. The students of the preparatory school are accepted under the central distribution of students in the preparatory school through the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. And candidates through their ministries.

The duration of study in the college is four years and the student is not allowed to fail for more than one year, after which the student is granted a bachelor's degree in agricultural sciences in each field of specialization.

Objectives1. To teach and understand the scientific fundamentals regarding the agricultural sciences, which are taught within the curriculum of the scientific curriculum and provide the students with outstanding scientific skills and competencies. 2. Knowledge of the latest scientific methods and the results of the latest scientific research in the fields of different agricultural fields, both plant and animal. 3. Pursuing the development of teaching processes and using the latest methods in teaching and training and holding training courses and workshops to increase the efficiency of staff in the college. 4. Preparation of advanced study programs at the bachelor's and master's level in the college to enable the student to plan and implement various agricultural production experiments.5. Equipping the laboratories with the latest equipment that serve the teaching process and fields with modern mechanization to qualify the student with the expertise that enables him to evaluate the programs and projects that he is developing and implementing, and finding the appropriate scientific and practical solutions to solve the problems that may be facing him. 6. The ability to establish and manage large and small commercial farms according to the needs of the local market and the service of the local community through the provision of consultations and the holding of training courses and workshops as well as hosting farmers during the working days to keep them updated on the various fields of agricultural production. 7. The ability to communicate with farmers and deliver the results of research to them to apply and help solve their problems through the transfer of modern technologies and convince farmers and farmers to apply it.
