The Department of English at the Faculty of Education for Human Sciences held a seminar entitled "The phenomenon of fraud, its motives, its effects and means of treatment" in the presence of the Dean of the College and specialized professors.

The Department of English at the college of Education for Human Sciences held a scientific seminar entitled "The phenomenon of fraud, its motives, its effects and ways of treatment" with the participation of specialized professors.

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Kirkuk, Dr. Abbas Hassan Taqi, the Faculty of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Kirkuk organized its first scientific conference under the theme of (Development of the methods of geographical research in the light of the total quality standards) with the participation of 37 researchers from Iraqi universities.

The College of Education for Human Sciences organized a scientific visit to English language students in the public library accompanied by professors of the department.

- The oil tower symbolizes the extraction of natural wealth (oil) from the ground, which is characterized by the province of Kirkuk.
- The sun signifies the light of science in the city of black gold. - An open and engraved book under the title of the University of Kirkuk, in Arabic and English, the book symbolizes science.
- The university is one of the formations of the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and History, which symbolizes the foundation year of the university in 2003 AD (1424 AH).
