A thesis in the Faculty of Science at the University of Kirkuk discussed the study of some epidemiological factors and clinical symptoms of cutaneous leishmaniasis in Hawija district of Kirkuk governorate for student Moaz Mohammed Salman Ali.

The study included giving a field picture of cutaneous leishmaniasis, the number of infected children and adults, and identifying the safe and vector hosts. The researcher concluded that the main parasite responsible for the infection is the parasite L.TROPICA, and recommended the dissemination of health awareness among people and familiarize them with the effects of skin leishmaniasis and its impact on the skin.mo3ath01
