A thesis in the Faculty of Science at the University of Kirkuk discussed a scientific study on the investigation of infection with urinary tract infection and the identification of some resistant bacterial strains in patients with type 2 diabetes in Kirkuk General Hospital and Azadi Teaching Hospital of the student Wafa Abdul Saheb Jabara.

Urinary tract in type 2 diabetes patients, and study their resistance to antibiotics, and to investigate the presence of (Efflux pump) in some isolates resistant to antibiotics.The study found that the prevalence of urinary tract infection in patients with diabetes and women more infected than men, and bacteria (Escherichia coli) is the most common among the pathogens of the urinary tract in infected, as well as the presence of resistance genes in some resistance bacterial isolates such as gene (dfrB) in bacteria Staphylococcus aureus) The researcher recommended conducting anesthesia on a continuous basis for diabetics to prevent complications, and that the use of antibiotics after implantation and sensitivity test to reduce resistance to antidotes, and a wider study of (Efflux pump) as one of the mechanisms of resistance to antibiotics.wafaadbalsahib1
