The festival included the speech of the governor of Kirkuk, who spoke about the importance of establishing peaceful co-existence among the components of the province as a miniature Iraq that combines all nationalities and sects. He stressed the preservation of the concepts of brotherhood and peaceful co-existence and their role in enhancing the cultural and scientific aspect of society. To achieve good living, security and safety for all, thanking the University of Kirkuk for holding seminars and workshops urging peaceful coexistence and renounce sectarianism and sectarian intolerance.The Dean of the College called in his speech to move away from sectarian and national strife and to take care of the scientific aspect and maintain the scientific march in the university to raise their academic level and provide the governorate with the youth energies and scientific potentials that serve the province in particular and our dear country in general.The aim of the festival is to spread the culture of peaceful coexistence and acceptance of the other regardless of its belief or nationality. Kirkuk is a city of brotherhood and peaceful coexistence. The campus has a great role in changing the cultures of the citizen and spreading the purposeful awareness of the society.On the sidelines of the festival, the students of the college will hold an art exhibition for handicrafts, manuscripts, drawings and a number of cultural books that urge the rejection of sectarianism and fanaticism and the dissemination of a culture of peaceful coexistence, patriotism and acceptance of the other.
Under the patronage and presence of the President of the University of Kirkuk, Prof. Dr. Abbas Hassan Taqi under the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty of Education Hawija Assistant Professor Dr. Ibrahim Saleh Ahmed and in cooperation with the Organization for Student Development, the College held a festival of development and peaceful coexistence in the presence of Kirkuk Governor Mr. Rakan Saeed Jubouri and a number of members of the provincial council and representatives of the United Nations President of the University of Hamdania and a number of teachers and students.
