The seminar, organized by the University in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Environment, the Kirkuk Health Department, the World Health Organization and the Health and Volunteer Environment Group, aims to spread health awareness among the community and to highlight communicable and communicable diseases transmitted from one person to another due to lack of health awareness. On ways to prevent disease from the principle of prevention is better than cure.The symposium also addressed the role of the University in its role in spreading health awareness among the society and the importance of exploiting the young energies in the student community to fulfill the mission of the university and achieve its goals in the service of society and building our dear country. And to benefit from them to promote the health reality in the province of Kirkuk and the whole of Iraq through interest in sports and artistic activities for students and urged them to volunteer work to provide social services.For his part, urged the Director General of Kirkuk Health Dr. Karim Waleed Jamil during his speech at the symposium the youth community to adhere to public health controls on campus and the importance of increasing their awareness of health risks of diseases that may be transmitted from student to another by mixing with the injured person, noting that the Department of Health Kirkuk Is open to cooperate with the university in organizing health awareness campaigns and spreading public health culture in the society, pointing out the important role played by universities in preparing the educated, educated and educated young generation for the health risks that surround it.Dr. Thamer Al Hilfi, Executive Director of the WHO Office in Iraq, praised the humanitarian role played by Kirkuk University and the Kirkuk Health Department in enhancing the health awareness of the Kirkuk community and their active participation in organizing events organized by the International Health Organization in Iraq to achieve health security for all segments of society.
Under the patronage and attendance of the President of the University of Kirkuk, Dr. Abbas Hassan Taqi, the University organized a scientific symposium on public health and methods of disease prevention with the participation of both professors and medical consultants from inside and outside the University.
