The President of the University of Kirkuk, Dr. Abbas Hassan Taqi, and His Holiness the Patriarch of the Chaldean and the World, Patriarch Mar Luis Rufail Sacco, participated in the opening of a new church in the region of Ascanyan, Kirkuk province.

The President of the University expressed his sincere congratulations to the Christian brothers on the glorious Eid, stressing the spirit of affection and love that exists between Muslims and Christians as one element of Iraq, on which we live and live in our hearts.And wish them a happy and peaceful Eid in a new, democratic, liberated and peaceful Iraq, with banners of love and harmony fluttering over our heads.The opening ceremony was attended by Governor of Kirkuk Rakan Said and the Commander of Special Operations II in the anti-terrorism agency Major General Maan al-Saadi and a number of members of parliament and security leaders and representatives of religions and sects in the province of Kirkuk.ch01
