Education for human sciences at the University of Kirkuk organizes a scientific lecture on earthquakes

The Department of Geography at the Faculty of Education for Human Sciences at Kirkuk University organized a scientific lecture on earthquakes and factors affecting their occurrence with the participation of researchers and specialists from the faculties of the university,

in the presence of the Dean of the College Dr. Farhad Aziz Mohiuddin.The lecture was delivered by Dr. Omar Sabah al-Tamimi from the Faculty of Science and Dr. Hassan Ali from the Faculty of Education to introduce the phenomenon of earthquakes and causes of occurrence and areas that fall under the impact of the seismic line in Iraq, and address the seismic activity witnessed by Iraq recently.The lecture included a detailed explanation of the earthquakes and earthquakes and the identification of ways to protect people from their dangers and how to behave during their occurrence to avoid loss of life and property, as well as cooperation with civil defense teams and the ambulance to carry out their tasks during the earthquake.The lecture recommended the need to establish seismic monitoring centers and forecast their occurrence, and interest in scientific research in this field, and to raise awareness of the phenomenon of earthquakes among citizens through awareness programs in the media.earthquake
