Researcher at Kirkuk University publishes research in Turkish scientific journal

The Journal of Zoology and Insects published by the University of Ghazi of Turkey published a scientific research by Professor Shaheen Abbas Mustafa, head of the Department of Forestry Science at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Kirkuk.The study investigated the presence of (5) species, (3) ranks and (5) families of insects that affect naturally growing oak trees in northern Cyprus and Iraq, and the proportions of the injury (0.30 and 67.5%), respectively, to oak leaves, followed by oak larvae and oak saplings, with the lowest incidence of insects of the Roma (050%).The results of the study showed that environmental conditions played an important role in determining the rates of infection depending on the type of insect and the environmental conditions and plant parts of the oak tree from April until the end of the tenth month in both regions.
