The study aimed at finding cadmium concentration and its geochemical distribution in the leaves and stalks of the grape plant, and evaluating the health risks of its presence in the soil and leaves of the grape plant on children and adults using the equations adopted by the Environmental Protection Agency.
The study concluded that the increase in cadmium in the first depth more than the second, and increase its concentration in the stems of the grape leaf more than the leaves, and the possibility of a health risk of cadmium when eating leaves of grapes in the city of Dibs,
The researcher recommended conducting studies to assess cadmium pollution in the center of Kirkuk and neighboring cities, conduct environmental studies to concentrate cadmium in the dust to reduce pollution, and study the cadmium component in other composition in Iraq.
