A joint research was accepted for publication between the Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Ammar Saad al-Din Muhammad, in Scopus and professors from Tikrit University, entitled “Preparation, characterization and study of the biological effectiveness of six cyclic compounds derived from Al2O3-ONa catalysts.”
The study concluded that some new derivatives of pyrimidine compounds were prepared from the reaction of chalconate with urea via a solid-base catalyst, and physical methods were used. And standards for diagnosing these compounds, such as (melting point - color - product ratio - IR-1HNMR-13CNMR) in order to ensure the correctness of the compositions of the prepared compounds. SEM measurement was also used to determine the catalytic activity.
